若你的駕駛執照可以換成英國駕駛執照，如香港發出的，都可以在英國換成英國的正式駕駛執照，詳細資料如下：

而申請英國駕駛執照的手續，不論是把駕駛執照換成英國的，或因搬家，或其他原因需要申請新的駕駛執照，都可以按以下方法。

首先，可以到郵局領取一份申請駕駛執照表格 DVLA forms D1 (私家車，輕型電單車或電單車)

或者，可以在DVLA 網頁申請表格，會直接寄到指定地址

注意：駕駛執照的新申請，或由香港駕駛執照換成英國駕駛執照必須填正本表格及貼相片。若是更改資料，如地址，可以在網上申請。

2 Your eyesight 第二部份：視力

a) Can you read a car number-plate (with glasses or corrective lenses if necessary) from 20.5 metres (67 feet) or 20 metres (65 feet) where narrower characters (50mm wide) are displayed? 您能看到從20.5米或20米窄字母（50 mm 闊）的車牌（如果需要，可戴眼鏡或矯正鏡片）嗎？
b) Do you need to wear glasses or corrective lenses when driving? 你需要配戴眼鏡或矯正鏡片嗎?

3 The Licence you want 第三部份：車牌種類

Start date – Your licence starts on the day we issue it. You can ask for your licence to start from a later date but this cannot be more than two months after the day you apply. 駕駛執照的開始日子，可以選一個比較後的日子，但不能晚超過兩個月。

  - Change my licence following a test pass 駕駛考試合格後, 換取成正式駕駛執照

  - Remove expired endorsement or suspension details. 刪除已過期的資料
  - Add provisional motorcycle entitlement 添加臨時駕駛電單車資格
  - Exchange my paper licence for a photocard licence 把舊式的紙本駕駛執照換成附相片的駕駛執照
  - Change my photograph 更換相片
  - Exchange my Northern Ireland Licence 由北愛爾蘭駕駛執照換成英國駕駛執照
  - Exchange my foreign licence for a British one 把外國駕駛執照換成英國駕駛執照 (若是第一次把香港駕駛執照換成英國駕駛執照, 請選此項)

  - Renew 續期
    - At age 70 or over (是否70歲或以上)
    - For Medical Reason (醫療原因)
    - Revoked under the Road Traffic (New Driver) Act 1995 根據《 1995年道路交通（新駕駛員）法》被撤銷
    - After disqualification 被取消資格後重新申請

4 Previous licence details 第四部份：原駕駛執照資料

Was your last licence a Photocard Licence? Paper Licence? 你的舊駕駛執照是付照片的,還是紙本的?
If you have given up driving because you were disqualified in Great Britain, please give the date and say which court dealt it (if known) 若你因被取消駕駛資格, 請填寫日子及那一個法院 (如知道)
Are you currently disqualified in any other country? 你現時有被其他國家取消駕駛資格嗎?
What is the expiry date shown on the licence or entitlement you are renewing? 現時的駕駛執照的到期日

Tick the documents you are providing to prove your identity 請選擇提供的身分證明文件
- Passport 護照 (英國護照 / BNO 護照/ 香港特區護照 / 或其他護照)
- Your UK birth or adoption certificate 英國出生或領養證明
- EC or EEA identity card EC (歐洲各共同體)或EEA (歐洲經濟區) 身份證
- Travel Document 旅遊證件
- Evidence of SRP (State Retirement Pension) 國家退休金證明
- Please write the identity number of the document you are providing 請填寫你提供的身分證明文件號碼
- Tick the document you are also providing to show a clear link to your current name if difference from that shown on your passport, birth certificate of adoption certificate 若你提供的身分證明文件和現行使用的姓名不一樣, 請提供證明
  - Marriage Certificate 結婚證書
  - Divorce certificate 離婚證明
  - deed poll or statutory declaration 改名契或法定聲明
  - Please write the identity number of the document you are providing 請填寫你提供的身分證明文件號碼

7 Signing your photograph 第七部分：簽名在相片

If you are providing identity documents other than an up to date UK, EC or EEA passport, someone reliable must sign the back of your photograph. 如果您提供的身份證件不是最新的UK，EC或EEA護照，那麼必須有一個可靠的人為您的照片背面簽名，此人必須認識你超過兩年，及不能是親人或郵局員工。

此部份是由認識你超過兩年，及不能是親人或郵局員工填寫。

P.S. 若護照的相片和新貼的相片相差不大, 便不需要找其他人簽名

8 Your Signature 第八部份：簽名

請簽名及填上日子

最後，請貼上相片，及檢查所需的文件，以下為表格上的檢查清單 Document Checklist, 包括:

The Correct Fee 正確費用 (若是由香港車牌轉英國牌, 費用為43 鎊, 若只是轉地址, 免費)
Amount 金額
Cheque or Postal Order Number 支票或郵政訂單號碼 (若沒有支票，可以到郵局要求開Postal Order, 請提供所需金額)
Identity Document (if this applies) 身分證明文件 (如有需要)
Your last licence (and counterpart if this applies) 舊駕駛執照 (或對照的文件, 如香港/其他地方駕駛執照, 駕駛考試文件, 如有需要)
Your test pass certificate (if this applies) 駕駛考試合格證明 (如果你的香港車牌曾續期或更換過, 提供你的駕駛執照明細便可以保留你的香港車牌年期, 否則, 在英國車牌上便只會注明由你交出的駕駛執照生效日子)
