由於英國的入學年齡和香港不一樣,

不少人都不太清楚小朋友到英國後, 應該升讀哪一級

以下, 便列出今年, 及未來2學年的入學級別給大家參考

注: 英國政府基本上是沒有留級這回事, 所以, 亦不會接受家長要求降班的要求, 而且英國學的東西, 和香港也不一樣, 其實家長不用太擔心

留意, 英國是無需要一定在9月插班的

英國教育 -- A Level 有咩科揀??

英國的教育制度下，GCSE 是強制課程，不過，A Level 並不是強制課程，各學校可以按成績決定收生。有不少學生在GCSE考得好，會以GCSE 成績去報考更好的學校。而A Level 的選科，會直接影響向讀大學。

升讀A Level 有什麼資格？

因A Level 是各學校自行收生，故收生資格是各學校自行決定。但基本上，基本要求如下：

最少5科取得Grade 4-9
英文及數學取得Grade 4-9
希望主修的A Level 科目取得最少Grade 5

升讀A Level 都是為了升讀大學，而報考大學時都會看GCSE 及A Level 成續，若GCSE 時英文或數學成績不理想，可以考慮重考英文或數學，提高入大學機會。

有什麼學校開辦 A Level 課程?

State School 政府中學
Grammar School 文法中學
Independence School 私立中學
Further Education College 高等教育學校

除了政府中學, 文法中學和私立中學, 由Year 7 開辦至Year 13 外，在英國，也有不少高等教育學校是開辦高中A Level 或其他高等教育課程，學生可以按自己成績及要求，選擇哪一間學校去接受A Level 課程。

若是高中才移民到英國，可以考慮：

讀一年制GCSE, 用GCSE 成績升讀A Level
在Further Education College 讀A Level, 再retake GCSE 英文和數學

留意，部份科目並不是每一間學校都有開，報讀Sixth Form 時要留意學校開辦什麼科目.

移民到英國前，最好先研究好教育問題，應該在小朋友什麼年齡移民，入讀哪一年級，升學的途經如何。

坦白說，有心移民的話，對小朋友來說，必定係越早越好。無論係整個英文的根基，特別是口語，和朋友傾計的能力，內容，朋友對你說笑話，都要自己識聽才笑出！！還有對英國文化的認識，朋友，整個社交的網絡，都是要從小建立。長大，尤其高中才到英國，便要特別努力才能追上。

有時，不是英文追不上，而是整個思考，溝通和文化的基地和本地人唔一樣，難以融入。以香港學生的能力，要在成績上追上，不難。但若希望在英國落地生根，除了成績之外，還有整個人是否可以適應當地。

其實不少人在高中，或大學時才到英國，因為自己的朋友圈子都不在英國，識朋友時又覺得難以融入，結果大學時較少本地朋友，多群返自己熟識既人，因為大家多Ｄ話題。然後，大學畢業後，便心思思想和朋友們一起回香港去。

小時候便移民的，尤其在還未上中學前便移民的，因為朋友圈子已在英國，對英國的熟悉程度比香港多，對他們來說，香港只是一個旅遊和陪父母探親的地方，畢業後自然不會特別想回香港。
